A get-together in Gassiot House- from 11.00-14.00:
Lunch with be supplied by the in-house caterers, for which there will be a small charge.
Free time – from 14.00-16.00 but you may like to:
- Attend the Nightingale Fellowship AGM from 14.00 in the Boardroom followed by a short service in the Chapel at 15.00
- Explore the hospital
- Stroll along the South Bank
- Continue reminiscing in one of the hospital tea bars or coffee shops
Formal High Tea – from 16.00
This is held in Shepherd Hall (Nurses’ dining room). Play “Spot the Sister” and see how many old Nightingales you recognise!!
“An evening with January 1974 set” – from 17.30 onwards:
TROIA is a restaurant, just to the south across the road from the old GLC building, 300 yards from Gassiot House. A table has been reserved for up to 20 people for the rest of the evening.
If you would like to come along for just a drink and some nibbles before you need to leave please do so – we would love to enjoy your company for as long as possible.
Alternatively, you can stay for Dinner (provisionally booked for 7.30 pm). The food is Mediterranean in style and prices are very reasonable http://troia-restaurant.co.uk
If you can stay overnight – all the better! Ten twin rooms are reserved, all next to each other in the Premier Inn, within the GLC building itself. Prices per twin room for Friday 9th May: £138.90; Saturday: £152.90. Please indicate if you want to stay, either or both nights, and if you wish to share with someone.
